PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin condition that causes the rapid growth of skin cells. This overgrowth leads to the formation of thick, scaly patches on the skin's surface, which can be itchy, painful, and even debilitating. The condition is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
SYMPTOMS

TREATMENT

Phototherapy involves exposing the affected skin to ultraviolet light, which can help slow down skin cell growth. Systemic medications, such as biologic drugs and immunosuppressants, are reserved for severe cases of psoriasis that do not respond to other treatments.
